For my birthday, Michael took me on a dinner cruise on the Sternwheeler Rose.
The dinner was excellent, the staff extremely hospitable, the weather quite
accomodating and the Portland waterfront views spectacular.

Oregon's Museum of Science and industry
(OMSI) was putting on a Dr. Suess
exhibit.  See the cat in the hat?

There was a waterfront celebration taking place
to raise money for salmon protection (above).

To the right is a portion of the Maritime Museum.
This very boat was used in the filming of the
movie "Maverick".

After the dinner cruise, Michael took me to a delightful play in Lake Oswego titled "Ernest In Love".
My presents included a nice Sunbeam barbecue grill and a box of Coleman barbecue utensils.  Yay!
There's a rumor floating around that on the 7th (my actual birthday) Michael and the girls are going to bake me a chocolate cake!
