Parents, staff and students gathered at 8 a.m. on Friday, September
14, 2001 for a prayer and remembrance service dedicated to the memory of
those lost in the tragic events of the past week.
The American flag was displayed and a large circle was formed around
it. The principal recited the day's "Words of Wisdom" and the music
teacher read an email letter from his grown step-son to his son in sixth
grade at home.
The Pledge of Alligiance was recited, as well as the Peace Builders'
Pledge. Several staff members led the crowd in beautiful renditions
of "God Bless America" and the National Anthem.
A moment of silence was observed.
