| I
adopted Halona (which means "fortunate") from the Bonnie L. Hays Animal
Shelter after helping to drive my daughter's Girl Scout Troop to donate
items for the shelter to use. The day after our visit, I simply could
not get this particular pregnant cat off of my mind. I told my husband
that when I was pregnant, I would not have wanted to have been behind bars.
He said, "Go get the cat if it makes you happy." That is how Halona
came to live with us. She gave birth to her brood six days after
her arrival here. |
